Once upon a time, there was a young man named Tu Thuc who was full of integrity. One day, in a village festival, he rescued a beautiful girl who had been arrested by villagers for damaging a moon-flower. He didn’t like injustice or bullying and was becoming so disillusioned with his position that he resigned his job to look for something more fulfilling. Then, remembering the girl he rescued, he vowed to find her.
Remarkably, this beautiful girl, who he rescued and then found again, was actually the immortal fairy named Giang Huong. Tu Thuc and Giang Huong were married and, transported from Earth, lived happily in Paradise. But no sooner had they married did Tu Thuc begin to feel lost and homesick. Giang Huong loved him so much but she conceded to his desires and reluctantly allowed him to return to Earth. Tu Thuc returned home to discover that everything had changed and that 300 years had suddenly passed.
